Erin Wartia Speaks After Clarifying to Police Regarding Allegations of Abuse from Former Domestic Worker

Erin Wartia, the ex-wife of comedian Andre Taulany, visited the South Jakarta Metro Police to provide clarification on Friday (22/5/2026). Her arrival with a legal team is related to the report filed by her former domestic worker named Herawati regarding allegations of abuse.

During the process inside the building, Erin underwent a lengthy examination. The police asked Erin dozens of questions regarding the chronology of the incident reported by the former domestic worker.

"From what has been questioned by the investigator, there are about 22 questions. From the minutes of the investigation that we have accompanied earlier, there is also evidence that we submitted, which is in the form of a recorder of CCTV footage that we have studied previously as evidence," said Adlina Amalia as the lawyer when met at the South Jakarta Police, Friday (22/5/2026).

After leaving the investigator's room, Erin looked very tired. Her physical condition was reported to be less fit as she had been at the location since the morning to provide testimony to the authorities.

"Perhaps Ms. Erin is indeed not feeling well today, which is why she cannot (speak). Physically, she may be tired due to today's conditions, exhausted. There have indeed been activities since morning," said Adlina Amalia.

Erin herself did not make many statements to the media crew that had been waiting for her. She chose to walk quickly to her luxury car while asking reporters to direct their questions to her lawyer.

"Just ask my lawyer later, okay? I'm tired, thank you. The important thing is that everything is safe. No (worries), everything is good. Thank you," said Erin.

Erin's side emphasized that they will remain cooperative in undergoing the entire legal process. They also stated that there was no act of violence as alleged by the reporter all this time.

"It seems that the legal process is indeed ongoing, so we should just respect the legal process for now. Hopefully, the truth will reveal itself in time. We will remain cooperative and prioritize our client's legal rights," concluded Adlina Amalia.
