Experience Ankle Ligament Injury, Regina Poetiray Geisha Had to Undergo Surgery - Minimize Movement While Performing

Unfortunately, Regina experienced an ankle ligament injury while doing sports. Regina Poetiray had to minimize movement while performing.

This injury has been experienced by Regina since the end of May 2023. However, it was only detected through Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in mid-June 2023, which showed a tear in the ankle ligament.

For the past few years, Regina has been regularly exercising, especially running. Due to excessive exercise, she suffered an injury to her ankle ligament.

"Because I really love sports, especially running. That's why I'm currently overtrained, and when I sprained my ankle, it's okay," she said.

"Since the end of 2019, I've been actively involved in running. Running has become a part of my daily routine. If I don't run, my body doesn't feel good," she concluded.

2. Regina Poetiray Undergoes Surgery for Her Ankle Ligament Injury

Due to excessive exercise, Regina suffered an injury to her ankle ligament. She had to undergo surgery to be able to resume normal activities.

"I have to undergo surgery. Unless I stop exercising, it's okay not to have surgery," said Regina to Kapanlagi.com at RS Murni Teguh Sudirman, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (25/7/2023).

The 23-year-old singer revealed that initially, she only felt pain when she first experienced the ankle ligament injury. Not only that, but she also had to limp because of the injury.

"At first, I felt a lot of pain in my left ankle, it was really painful, and I had to limp," she said.

3. Limited Movement on Stage

Due to the injury, Regina couldn't move much on stage while performing with Geisha.

"During a performance, Geisha was performing in Majalengka, on a TV show, there were several stages in several cities, and at that time, I was limping. So the movements were very limited," she said.
