The hospital finally spoke out about the initial condition when the man with the birth name Riyanto was taken to the Emergency Room (ER). When he arrived, the condition of the comedian had already deteriorated.
"When he entered the ER, he was in pain in the head, weakness on one side of the body, vomiting, and already starting to feel drowsy or experiencing a decrease in consciousness. We, the ER team, immediately examined, evaluated, and decided to perform surgery immediately," said Dr. Ricky Gustanto Kurniawan as quoted by KapanLagi.com in a virtual press conference.
When he entered the ER, the medical team mentioned that Tukul had hypertension. It was only when he underwent a CT scan that it was discovered that there was bleeding in the brain.
"When we received him, the patient was in a hypertensive condition. When his blood pressure was measured in the ER, it was around 200. When we conducted a complete CT scan examination, it was found that there was bleeding of about 80 cc. We thought it was a spontaneous response to bleeding due to hypertension," said Dr. Sardiana Salam on the same occasion.
Currently, Tukul Arwana has been placed in the semi intensive room of the National Brain Center Hospital. He is conscious and able to respond well to doctor's instructions.
"For now, Mr. Tukul is in the semi intensive room and conscious. He is responsive, can follow instructions, and can be called. We consider him to be conscious but still with minimal contact," said Dr. Sardiana Salam.
As for blood pressure, the medical team explained that his condition fluctuates. However, they are trying to keep the blood pressure of the 57-year-old man normal.
"Until now, the blood pressure still fluctuates. Sometimes it stabilizes, sometimes it suddenly rises," said Dr. Sardiana Salam.
