The actor, who has been active since 2008, talked extensively about his experience of fighting for his life from the corona virus that attacked his body. Chandra admitted that he never thought he would survive the illness after his health continued to decline.

On Deddy Corbuzier's podcast, which aired today, September 15, the actor and content creator shed tears remembering what he experienced in the emergency room. He also said that after recovering from Covid-19, he is still in the process of psychological recovery after lying in a hospital bed for days.

Chandra talked about how desperate he felt when he saw many patients die in front of him. The 28-year-old man kept thinking that he was lying in a hospital bed just waiting for his turn to be called by the Almighty.

With his father by his side, Chandra cried his heart out and thanked his father and also apologized for things he had never said before. Because he believes that if it weren't for his father who kept accompanying him, he would not be alive today. 1. Hiding His Illness

At the beginning, when Chandra was diagnosed with Covid-19, he only informed his family claiming to be sick. Due to his reserved personality with his family, he thought he could solve his problems on his own, including when this actor and YouTuber contracted Covid-19. In the Deddy Corbuzier podcast, Chandra admitted that he and his family did not live in the same house.

Even his father admitted that Chandra is an independent and self-reliant person. When he was initially diagnosed positive, he only intended to inform his family and did not ask his parents to visit.

Living separately from his son, Chandra's father took the initiative to come and check on his condition. However, parents' intuition is never wrong. At that time, his father became suspicious because his son's dry cough was very unusual. 2. Refusing to go to the hospital

With a melancholic voice and holding back tears, the father of the Jakarta-born actor mentioned that his son refused to go to the hospital even though his saturation level was decreasing.

Chandra also confirmed that he refused to be taken to the hospital because he felt that he could still get through it and it wasn't too difficult. His condition, which continued to decline from the first day to the third day, made his father increasingly worried, but this creative YouTuber still didn't want to go to the hospital.

Deddy Corbuzier also asked what the real reason was for Chandra's refusal to go to the hospital. "Chand, I don't understand, like, you know, you're a smart person, I mean you're smart, I admire you because you're smart. Do you know that when saturation is at 70 it's fucking dangerous, dude?" Deddy asked in his podcast with Chandra.

Chandra reasoned that when his saturation level reached 70, the saturation machine suddenly broke and malfunctioned. So he admitted that at that time he still had a positive thinking that a saturation level of 70 was due to a faulty machine.

Although initially reluctant to be taken to the hospital, on the 8th-9th day, his father forced him to go to the hospital because his condition continued to decline. Not only his condition but his breathing and saturation levels also consistently showed a level of 70.

3. Mother Also Infected with Covid

Chandra's condition, which was quite severe and continued to decline, was made even sadder because his mother also contracted Covid. Through Deddy Corbuzier's podcast, he said that his mother was infected with Covid because of him.

As his condition continued to decline, he only prayed that his mother would be saved by the Almighty if one of them had to die from Covid. One of the reasons he did not want to go to the hospital and show that he could still fight was because at the same time his mother was also infected with the coronavirus.

4. Affected by Cytokine Storm

His condition, which was deteriorating and had to take medications with a red logo like Avigan, turned out to be experiencing a cytokine storm that continued to worsen his condition at that time.

The cytokine storm itself is a condition where the body releases certain substances that must be watched out for when infected with Covid or similar viruses. Chandra admitted that the cytokine storm made him feel worse day by day and had to be referred to the hospital.

He also admitted that being in the hospital felt like waiting for death, waiting for his turn to die. Deddy, who was the host of the podcast at that time, also asked, "Bro, do you think you're going to make it, bro?"

Upon hearing that, Chandra answered that with his condition, he was actually desperate about his life. He was ready if he had to be called at that time. The actor also admitted that he was very frustrated with his condition that showed no signs of improvement.

His father also confirmed that Chandra had many hallucinations while lying in the emergency room. And Chandra added that he only hoped his mother would recover even if he had to be called by God.

5. Father Accompanies in the IGD

He tells how his father took the risk to stay with him for 5 days in the hospital's IGD without protective clothing, only using double masks and a facial sheet for COVID.

Chandra's father confirmed that he was willing to take the risk to accompany his son. Despite being reprimanded by doctors and nurses, Chandra's father remained loyal to accompany him and hardly slept for 4 days to take care of his son.

However, his father's struggle paid off when on September 2nd, Chandra's X-ray results showed that his lungs were clean of mucus due to the COVID-19 virus.

His father said that the result was the most precious birthday gift because his son successfully passed the critical period and returned to good health like now.
