Expressing Gratitude Celebrating Eid al-Adha Amidst the Pandemic, Taqy Malik Sacrifices a Limousin Cow Weighing Over One Ton

Kapanlagi.com - The moment of Eid al-Adha, which must be carried out by Muslims in Indonesia amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, apparently did not deter Taqy Malik from sacrificing and sharing. This 24-year-old man sacrificed a Limousin cow weighing 1.1 tons, and this sacrifice is a form of gratitude from Taqy because his business is progressing despite difficult conditions.

Indeed, in previous years, Taqy Malik also sacrificed. However, this year is different because the weight of the cow is larger even though it is still a Limousin cow.

"Alhamdulillah, this year I can sacrifice again. Last year, the cow weighed 850 kg, this year it weighs 1.1 tons," said Taqy Malik when met at Al Falah Mosque, Mampang, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (20/7).

"Yesterday was also a Limousin cow, the price doesn't matter," he added.

Taqy also revealed his reason for sacrificing at Masjid Al Falah Mampang because his office is located nearby. In addition, he emphasized that this year's sacrifice is a form of gratitude for the success of Taqy Chan Shaffron's growing business.

"Alhamdulillah, there is a difference (in sacrifices per year), the business is growing Alhamdulillah. Because we are involved in the health field, saffron," he said.

Taqy Malik personally slaughtered a 1.1-ton Limousin cow that he sacrificed, assisted by other committee members to hold it. Surely, Taqy hopes that next year he still has the opportunity and is given sustenance to be able to sacrifice even more.

"Hopefully next year I can sacrifice again, can share again," he said.

2. Previously Affected by Negative Rumors

Consistently sacrificing from year to year is proof of Taqy's success as an entrepreneur. However, Taqy apparently cannot escape from negative rumors, as he experienced some time ago.

Taqy conducted a fundraising campaign for Palestine and it was known that the amount of money received reached Rp 5 billion. In the midst of his social action efforts, there was a rumor that Salmafina's ex-husband embezzled the donated money. The reason was that he was only known to have handed over Rp 1 billion to PMI for distribution.

To avoid negative news, Taqy spoke up and uploaded comments from some haters in a post on his Instagram account. To his haters, Taqy explained the detailed process of collecting and donating the funds.

Not forgetting, Taqy also showed other transfer evidence to humanitarian institutions amounting to Rp 513 million, and Rp 3 billion to the Nusantara Palestine Institution. Taqy also explained that the donation funds he received were used for ambulances, logistics, and groceries.
