Eza Gionino Denies Serious Physical Domestic Violence Allegations, But Admits to Having Used Harsh Words Towards Meiza Aulia

The divorce hearing of actor Eza Gionino and Meiza Aulia alias Echa was held again at the Cibinong Religious Court on Monday (12/1/2025). In the evidence presentation agenda, the issue of Domestic Violence (KDRT) became the main focus again. Eza Gionino's side, through his attorney, provided clarification regarding the allegations that have circulated for some time.

Eza's attorney, Raka Danira, dismissed reports claiming that severe physical violence was perpetrated by his client. He stated that during their marriage, Eza rarely engaged in such behavior. He emphasized that what occurred was not as wild as the assumptions circulating in society regarding severe abuse.

"If it’s about domestic violence itself, I have to say that in the very beginning, Mas Eza rarely committed domestic violence. Even the domestic violence was only, for instance, limited to verbal and such. When it comes to severe domestic violence, there hasn’t been any," said Raka Danira when met after the trial on Monday (1/12/2025).

Although denying severe physical violence, Eza's side does not deny the existence of friction in the form of words. When pressed about the meaning of 'rarely committed', the lawyer admitted that verbal violence in the form of harsh words did occur between the couple during their disagreements.

"Yes, perhaps it has been done verbally, maybe with harsh words and things like that," said Raka.

On the other hand, the trigger for this divorce is said to be due to the accumulation of problems that Echa has been harboring. Communication issues and unresolved arguments eventually piled up and exploded into a divorce lawsuit. This is reinforced by the evidence of conversations submitted in court.

"The trigger, of course, is what I mentioned at the beginning. So there were arguments, and there were also things that maybe Echa has been holding back that were not resolved, which triggered what you call, over time (accumulating) and just now the evidence was presented to the panel," explained Raka

Regarding what evidence made Echa determined to separate, Eza's side mentioned the existence of chat evidence that became one of the reasons. This evidence is considered quite sensitive for the wife, prompting her to take decisive steps to end the marriage.

"The evidence must be in terms of administration, like the marriage certificate, then there’s the ID card and so on. Also, there may be reasons like chats that made Mbak Echa feel like she wanted to divorce Mas Eza. Like that," he concluded.
