Falcon Pictures Files a Rp 4.2 Billion Breach of Contract Lawsuit, Jefri Nichol Hopes for a Family Settlement

Kapanlagi.com - Renowned production house Falcon Pictures is suing actor Jefri Nichol for breaching the work contract in a film. Jefri's mother, Junita Eka Putri, and former manager, Ahmad Baidhowi, are also named as defendants.

In the lawsuit, Jefri is asked to return the advance payment of Rp 280 million. He is also required to pay Rp 4.2 billion, including fines and interest.

"Basically, Jefri committed a breach of contract. He had a work contract and there were certain parts of the contract that were not complied with. The terms were for him to act in four films," said Susy Tan, Falcon Pictures' lawyer, when interviewed at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday (16/3/2020).

1. Strive for Family Settlement

The first hearing with the clarification agenda between the plaintiff and the defendant was held today, represented by their respective legal representatives. Aris Marasabessy, as the legal representative of Jefri Nichol and his mother, strives for a settlement within the family.

"In civil cases, the chance for settlement (within the family) is open, especially in the realm of civil law where mediation is required. I am very open to discussing with the plaintiff," said Aris, met in the same place on a different occasion.

The same sentiment was also expressed by Susy Tan, as the legal representative of Falcon Pictures. The consultation process can be carried out before the verdict hearing.

"Basically, until the very end, until the final verdict, mediation can still be done. Basically, consultation can still be done," emphasized Susy.
