Family Reveals Dorce Gamalama Has Had Diabetes for the Past 20 Years

Kapanlagi.com - Dorce Gamalama's family has spoken out about her condition while undergoing treatment in the ICU of Primaya Hospital, Bekasi. Bunda Hetty described Dorce's health condition before being taken to the hospital.

According to her, the condition of the 58-year-old artist is very concerning. Fortunately, the family acted quickly when they found out that Dorce Gamalama had lost consciousness.

"Actually, what can I say, last night was very concerning. It can still be managed. This hospital's actions are very quick, as soon as we arrived, we were rushed to the ER and treated quickly. Bunda Dorce was a little restless and agitated. We asked the doctor, and the doctor said everything was being taken care of," Bunda Hetty said at Primaya Hospital, Bekasi, on Friday (8/10).

"Heart monitoring, IV placement, catheter, IV to raise blood sugar levels because they dropped. Her blood sugar was 38 and her blood pressure was 21 and not rising. After being treated by the doctor, it improved. As for her restlessness, immediate action was taken. The family entrusted everything to the doctor, whatever the doctor thinks is best. During the procedure, the family must remain calm. Then she was admitted to the ICU and underwent a CT scan," she added.

Dorce Gamalama's condition is better than yesterday, Thursday (7/10) before being taken to the hospital. At least, there is a change experienced by Dorce Gamalama.

"There is a change, she is calm and no longer restless or feeling sick. She just cannot communicate yet. Because in the ICU, family and relatives cannot enter freely, so communication is limited. Only the doctor," she said.

In the same occasion, Dorce Gamalama's daughter, Khadijah, said that her mother was taken to the hospital due to low blood sugar. From there, her mother's condition immediately became weak and unconscious. According to her, her mother has been experiencing diabetes for about 20 years.

"It's been quite a long time, about 15 to 20 years ago. (If it drops) it's only now. So, my mom becomes weak and dizzy. Because that's how it is with diabetes," said Khadijah.

2. Still Waiting for CT Scan Results

Until now, the family cannot provide more detailed information about Dorce Gamalama's condition and illness. This is because the medical team is still observing the host of Dorce Show.

"There is no further information from the doctor. We are still waiting for the CT Scan results. There are no results from the doctor yet, still waiting. The doctor has not provided a report, so we haven't given detailed information. Mother is in the ICU for intensive care," said Khadijah.

"Once we receive the doctor's results because it is being handled by a neurologist and internal medicine doctor, we just have to wait for the results. We ask for everyone's prayers, hoping that Dorce will not experience anything unwanted, can recover, and resume activities as usual," Khadijah concluded.
