Kapanlagi.com - KLovers, do you already know this beautiful singer of 'Asmalibrasi', Fanny Soegi? Recently, the online world, especially on Twitter, was stirred by this soloist's tweet regarding her complaints about the band Soegi Bornean, KLovers!
Although Fanny has left the band Soegi Bornean, the band continues to exist with a new vocalist, Vika. The latest news from Fanny shows that she expressed her frustration on social media because Soegi Bornean is still using her personal name, even though she has left the band.
Wow, what kind of expressions did Fanny Soegi make? Stay tuned for the details!

Fanny revealed that when she decided to leave the band, she also had to deal with HAKI (Intellectual Property Rights) and even had to pay for the use of the name "Soegi" if she wanted to continue creating with a new entity! Oh dear, we can imagine how dizzying this is for KLovers! On the other hand, the band Soegi Bornean, which still uses her name, continues to operate at a much lower price.
"I still remember when I wanted to leave that band and was faced with the HAKI people, I was required to pay for my own name, namely "Soegi" if I left with a new entity. There’s even a recording of it. Fanny Soegiarto," wrote Fanny in her tweet.
Do KLovers agree that this feels unfair?

Fanny also explained that the name Soegi Bornean was initially used for her own solo project. However, she felt uncomfortable with the solo concept, so she eventually decided to form a band with that name along with two former guitarists, Bagas and Damar.
"Before becoming a band, the initial project was me as a soloist. But I wasn't comfortable with being solo, so that's how the name came to be. Even now, I, Mas Bagas & Mas Damar, we are still in the form of a band even though we use the name Fanny Soegi". she stated on X (Twitter).

The singer from Semarang also expressed her dissatisfaction with the distribution of royalties from her hit song. She feels there is injustice in the distribution of royalties for the song "Asmalibrasi", which is one of the reasons Fanny decided to leave the band in March 2024.
“Just imagine, this Asma song that you hear everywhere, the creator even has to borrow money to pay for her child's school,” Fanny revealed through her X (Twitter) account.
Fanny emphasized that this issue is not about the amount of money, but more about the principles and conscience of the parties involved.

The Soegi Bornean party also provided clarification regarding Fanny's accusations. In their Instagram post, they explained that all decisions regarding royalties have been mutually agreed upon and Fanny has always been involved in the process.
“There are things that we believe are not accurate and do not reflect reality. Regarding the royalties for 'Asmalibrasi', from the beginning of receiving the royalties for 'Asmalibrasi', we, the management, distributed it according to the agreed amount. Fanny has always been involved,” they stated.
They also mentioned that the songs of Soegi Bornean are the result of collaboration and not solely owned by Fanny, except for the song “Kala”. The management emphasized the importance of respecting copyright for every work.
“Several songs claimed by Fanny Soegi are the result of joint work, except for the song titled 'Kala'. We also highly respect the copyright of each song,” said the Soegi Bornean party.
We hope there will soon be good news from both parties, KLovers!
