Ferry Irawan's Tearful Cry Reveals the Difficulty of Medical Costs, Spending Rp 3 Million a Week

Therefore, fellow artists uploaded photos of Ferry Irawan and asked for financial assistance for his treatment. Ferry Irawan himself admitted that the pain he felt was an old illness that he suffered from, medically known as Dystonia, or a contraction disorder in the muscles.

"Actually, this is a recurring illness. The doctor said it shouldn't recur for the second time, because it could be worse than the first condition," said Ferry Irawan while holding back tears due to his pain when met at his residence in Bekasi, West Java, on Thursday (15/7).

"So the illness probably recurred because of the mind. It was temporarily cured and now it has recurred and gotten worse," added Ari, Ferry Irawan's younger brother.

1. Expensive Medical Treatment

Stuttering, Ferry also mentioned two types of treatment, namely medical and alternative, in order to recover quickly. For medical treatment, Ferry said he received pain relief injections.

"I was injected in the head and all over the body, to reduce the pain," said Ferry.

In addition, this 44-year-old actor emphasized that the cost of his treatment is very high. Especially since he undergoes medical treatment without using BPJS and other insurance.

"The medication is quite expensive, sometimes it costs around Rp 3 million for a week or two. Just imagine the current situation," Ferry said while crying.

2. Grateful for the Help of Fellow Artists

Nevertheless, Ferry Irawan is grateful to have good friends, especially fellow artists who have helped him in his treatment.

"I can't rely on insurance because of my medical history, so it's all family, friends, many people who help. Many friends and acquaintances support me, alhamdulillah," he concluded.
