First Confession, Dul Jaelani Used to be an Atheist and Alcoholic Before the Fatal Accident

Kapanlagi.com - In 2013, Dul Jaelani experienced a fatal accident that claimed several lives. The youngest son of Maia Estianty himself survived, although he had to undergo intensive treatment. Even until now, there is still a pen attached to his body to facilitate mobility.

Recently, Dul reminisced a bit about his past on Ari Lasso's Youtube channel. The fatal accident has brought positive lessons to his current life.

"(The accident) has had a significant impact. Even on my health condition, because there is still a pen in my back. There are many lessons, if it weren't for the accident, I would have been much more rebellious than Al and El," Dul revealed to Ari, as quoted by KapanLagi.com from Ari Lasso TV's Youtube channel.

1. Dul Jaelani Used to Not Believe in God

In fact, there is a surprising fact about Dul's past that was revealed on that occasion. The current religious and diligent worshipper Dul used to not believe in God, or in other words, he was an atheist.

"This is only to Ari Lasso, I have never said this before. Before the accident, I was an atheist. I don't believe in God. Ask my mother. Before the accident, I always said, 'Where is Allah? Why should I worship Him?', so I was really arrogant towards this life," said the singer of Cakrawala.

2. The Moment Dul Realized that Allah Does Exist

After surviving the accident, Dul realized that Allah does exist. And he felt that he was still saved and given time to improve his faith.

"That incident reminded me that Allah does exist. I spent days lying in the hospital, not looking for anything. My parents were there, holding my mother's hand was enough to calm me down. And in the midst of the pain, I said, 'So Allah, you do exist'. Finally, my mother said, 'See, Allah does exist, right?,'" Dul recalled.
