First Time Attending a Trial, Syakir Daulay: Just Enjoy This Process

Kapanlagi.com - The trial for the alleged breach of contract or disagreement in the sale and purchase of YouTube accounts between the soap opera actor and singer, Syakir Daulay with the ProAktif recording label has begun.

For Syakir, this is his first time dealing with the law and attending a trial at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (28/7) with the agenda of document examination.

After the trial, Syakir Daulay stated that he has to face all his problems because it adds color to his life. He admitted that he really enjoys this trial process.

"I'm ready. Just enjoy this whole process. The main point is, we shouldn't be worse than other people. If Syakir is like that, it's just the same as them," said Syakir Daulay.

However, Syakir's first trial was postponed to the next agenda because one of the defendants, ProAktif, Youtube, or Google, did not complete their documents. Syakir's legal counsel, Haris Azhar, stated that the trial will be postponed to next week, as it is still in the agenda for document completion.

1. Syakir Daulay Will Attend Mediation with the Accused Party

In addition, Haris also said that Syakir will attend the mediation hearing with the defendants. Haris Azhar also emphasized that at the request of Syakir Daulay, the civil lawsuit will continue until the decision of the Panel of Judges.

"Because in mediation, Syakir must restate his claim to the mediation judge. If there is a possibility of reconciliation in the future, we will see first. If some of Syakir's income is returned, there may not be a need for further court proceedings," said Haris Azhar.

2. ProAktif Party Feels Right

Meanwhile, Sugianto ProAktif's legal representative, Abdul Fakhridz Al Donggowi, asserted that his client is not afraid of Syakir Daulay's lawsuit. In fact, Abdul Fakhridz emphasized that the ProAktif party feels right because they have concrete evidence of the agreement for the sale and purchase of the YouTube account.

"There is evidence from the defendant's side. The royalty we paid was for April and May, and we have already paid 15 percent according to the agreement," said Abdul Fakhridz Al Donggowi.

3. Issues of Buying and Selling YouTube Accounts

Previously, it was known that Syakir Daulay filed a civil lawsuit against ProAktif, specifically Sugianto and several other respondents, namely YouTube and Google, at the South Jakarta District Court on June 9, 2020.

In the lawsuit, Syakir Dualay raised concerns regarding the terms of the agreement for buying and selling YouTube accounts with ProAktif. Feeling that he suffered material and immaterial losses, Syakir Daulay demanded compensation of Rp 100 billion from the defendants.
