First Time Held, Check Out the Complete Nominations for 'Indonesia Drama Series Awards 2021'

A new award event called Indonesia Drama Series Awards 2021 (IDSA 2021) is now presented as a form of appreciation for the players in the soap opera industry in Indonesia who have been dedicated to providing the best entertainment for viewers at home.

The peak night of IDSA 2021 will be broadcast live on RCTI television station on August 31, 2021, from the RCTI+ studio. Through this event, the players in the homeland soap opera industry are also expected to be more motivated to continue to contribute positively to the creative industry in Indonesia with entertaining and educational shows.

"It's undeniable that drama series or soap operas have become favorite entertainment and idols for the people. Moreover, in this pandemic era, people spend more time at home, so the presence of soap operas is certainly a meaningful entertainment. Therefore, it is a pride for RCTI to be able to broadcast the Indonesian Drama Series Awards 2021 for the first time in Indonesia," said Dini Putri, RCTI's Programming and Acquisition Director.

In the IDSA 2021 event, there are a total of 13 award categories, in which the winners of 12 categories will be selected through public voting. Meanwhile, 1 other category is a special category. The determination of nominees for each category is carried out by the IDSA 2021 Panel Board, which consists of 14 different professions, ranging from soap opera artists, directors, producers, scriptwriters, Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI), Film Censorship Agency (LSF), advertising agencies, soap opera fans, musicians, content creators, production houses, talent management, art lecturers, and senior journalists.

2. Voting Method

The nominees are selected based on the airing period of programs from June 1, 2020, to May 31, 2021, and the winners will be determined by the voting results through the RCTI+ platform, IDSA Instagram (@indonesiandramaseriesawards), and also SMS. The method is easy, just type IDSA (space) nomination code and send it to 95151.

Voting has been opened since July 30, 2021, and will be closed on August 26, 2021. Next, the voting results will be audited by an independent audit institution and the winners will be announced on the grand finale night of IDSA 2021.

"It is a challenge for us (RCTI) to hold a big and special event like the Indonesian Drama Series Awards 2021 this year. We have carried out all production stages with strict health protocols. Nevertheless, we will still present the concept of a grand finale with a magnificent stage, lighting and graphics, and technology.
