First Trial of Drug Abuse Case Held, Nia Ramadhani Gets Reprimanded by Judge for Being Late

Kapanlagi.com - The first trial of the drug abuse case involving Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie was finally held at the Central Jakarta District Court today, Thursday (2/12). Unfortunately, there was an unpleasant incident during this first trial.

The trial agenda, which was originally scheduled for 10.00 AM, was delayed from the expected time. Not without reason, apparently Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie arrived late at the Central Jakarta District Court.

Indeed, according to the predetermined schedule, Nia and her husband arrived at the location around 11.49 AM. Realizing this, the judge reprimanded and asked for accountability from the Public Prosecutor's Office (JPU).

"At 10.00 AM, the panel of judges was ready to conduct the trial, but the information we received was that the defendant had not yet appeared in this trial. I demand an explanation from the Public Prosecutor, what is the reason?" the judge firmly stated in the courtroom of the Central Jakarta District Court on Thursday (2/12).

In response to this, the Public Prosecutor apologized, "We, the Public Prosecutor, apologize because the information from the legal advisory team is that the defendant is in poor health, such as having diarrhea, so a medical team from the hospital was called to examine the defendant and the medical team said that the trial can proceed."

2. Judge Also Reminds About Bribery

Furthermore, the judge also reminded Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie about bribery. "Next, I remind the three defendants to consult with your legal team, do not consult with other parties, that is the first thing," said the judge.

"Secondly, I remind you and your legal team to ask for assistance so that no one can influence you in rectifying your legal case. Especially asking for money and so on. Understand? If it is discovered that there are such actions, the three of you will be harmed, so do not think of taking such actions," concluded Muhammad Damis, as the Chairman of the Panel of Judges.

Previously, Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie admitted missing their three children, Mikhayla Zalindra Bakrie, Mainaka Zanatti Bakrie, and Magika Zalardi Bakrie. Understandably, since their arrest by the police on Wednesday (7/7), they haven't met their children.
