Former Domestic Worker Admits Being Hit with a Broomstick by Erin

Hera admitted that she was asked for details regarding the chronology while she was still working at her employer's house. The police are focused on digging up facts on the ground to match the reports that have already been submitted previously.

"Still clarifying regarding Ms. Hera's report related to the alleged abuse that was supposedly committed by the reported party, right? Still clarifying," said Natalius Bangun as the legal counsel when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Monday (04/05/2026).

Hera revealed that the incident occurred on April 28 at around 3:00 PM WIB. The trigger was said to be very trivial, just due to the issue of curtains and the bathroom door that had not been closed. This made the employer very angry and led to physical actions.

The physical violence began when Erin approached Hera on the second floor. According to Hera's confession, her employer immediately snatched the broom she was holding and struck her on the head with it. This action was accompanied by harsh words that demeaned her as a worker.

"Well, I said, 'Yes Ma'am, sorry Ma'am, I will close it later Ma'am'. Then she took the broom I was holding. She took the broom and hit my head with the handle," said Hera.

Not just once, Hera claimed to have been hit repeatedly on the back of her head. Even though she had apologized and begged for the violence to stop, she continued to receive that treatment. This incident left a deep trauma for Hera, who had only been working for less than a month.

"Then he cursed at me. 'You are working carelessly, you are stupid, you are foolish,' he said. 'You can't work, can you?' he said. 'Sorry Ma'am, but please don't use violence, Ma'am,' I said, 'don't be violent, it hurts,' I said. Then Ma'am Erin said, 'Well, it's because you work foolishly.' Then she took the broom again, swung it, and hit me again," said Hera.
