Former Maid Claims She Was Kicked by Erin Wartia While the Employer Was Wearing a Prayer Outfit

New facts have emerged in the investigation of the alleged abuse committed by Erin Wartia against her former maid, Herawati. In addition to being beaten with a broom handle, Hera claims she suffered other physical violence from the former wife of Andre Taulany, including kicks to her body.

This incident even occurred at two different times on the same day. Hera explained that the violence she experienced did not stop in the afternoon.

After being beaten with the broom handle, she again faced rough treatment during the late afternoon. What makes her heartache is that when the kick was delivered, the employer was said to be wearing prayer attire.

"It peaked with that broomstick at 3 PM. Then it continued with a kick, I was kicked. And she was wearing a prayer outfit for Asr prayer, kicking me," said Hera when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Monday (04/05/2026).

Hera recounted that she was squatting in front of her employer at that time. Suddenly, she received a rather hard kick that made her unable to maintain her balance.

She did not expect her employer's anger would end in such physical violence. Hera stated that the physical act had a direct impact on her physical health.

Until the time she underwent examination at the police station, she admitted still often feeling pain and dizziness in her head due to the blows and scratches she received while at that house. "Yes, I even sprained my ankle in front of her," said Hera.

This violence is the first time Hera has experienced physical abuse. Previously, she claimed to have only received verbal insults and curses. However, on April 28, her employer's emotions exploded, leading to physical contact that injured her.

"The hitting is the first time. Usually, it’s just insults," said Hera.

Although there are two other domestic workers in the house, Hera stated that she is the only one who has experienced physical violence. Her other friends are said to have only been frequently insulted with harsh words. As a result of this series of events, Hera claimed to be traumatized and chose to pursue legal action to seek justice.
