Formerly Famous But Now Quiet Job Until Having to Sell Bakso Cilok by the Roadside, Sidik Eduard Admits Feeling Embarrassed

Kapanlagi.com - Sidik Eduard is currently busy managing his stall in the Kalisari area, East Jakarta, on Thursday afternoon (13/7). It is known that the 27-year-old actor has decided to switch gears and sell bakso cilok because job offers for him have become scarce.

Certainly, the changes in Sidik Eduard's life can be said to be very different from his past. Therefore, he does not deny that there is a sense of embarrassment when he has to sell his merchandise by the roadside.

1. Reasons for Feeling Ashamed

However, Sidik's shame is not because of selling, but because he is afraid of being perceived as unable to provide happiness for his child and wife.

"Honestly, at the beginning, it's not about prestige but there is indeed a sense of shame," said Sidik Eduard when met in the Kalisari area, East Jakarta, on Saturday (13/7).

"Because it's like already having a family but not being able to make the family happy, the shame is because of that," he added.

2. Recognized by Many Buyers

When asked further, Sidik Eduard also shared some interesting moments that happened at the beginning of his sales. He said that initially, there were buyers who realized that he was an artist.

"Some noticed, some didn't, so at the beginning it was like 'hey, your face doesn't look ordinary, have I seen you before?' but I said 'maybe we crossed paths on the street.' Eventually, they started to know," he said.

3. Experiencing Difficult Times

In addition, Sidik also shared about the difficult times when he and his wife and two children had to eat one packet of rice with their meatball cilok. Then came the moment when Sidik's merchandise accidentally went viral, thanks to his wife who became the turning point for his popular meatball cilok.

"At that time, we were selling together, me, my wife, and two children, selling every day, on the side of the road like this. We would buy five thousand rupiah rice from the food stall to eat together," he explained.

"Then, when it went viral, my wife uploaded it on social media, and from there, it unintentionally went viral, like opening the door to fortune. But I'm not really into social media, so my wife helped me, whether I liked it or not, in this era, we have to be able to," he concluded.
