Free from Prison, Angelina Sondakh Often Cries and Doesn't Want to be Picked Up by Family - Will Visit Adjie Massaid's Grave

Kapanlagi.com - After 10 years in prison, artist and politician Angelina Sondakh will soon breathe the air of freedom in April 2022. The news of her freedom was greeted with joy by her family.

Especially her son, Keanu Jabaar Massaid, who has been separated from his mother for a long time. He is very happy because his mother will soon breathe the air of freedom.

"When I told oma, opa, and Keanu, they were very happy. Keanu was left when he was around 2-3 years old. Now Keanu is 13 years old. This will certainly be an extraordinary reunion," said Angelina Sondakh's lawyer, Krisna Murti, SH, who was met in the SCBD area, Jakarta, on Tuesday (1/3/2022).

1. Doesn't Want to Be Picked Up by Family

However, for her upcoming freedom day, Angelina Sondakh, according to Krisna Murti, does not want to be specifically welcomed by her family at the prison.

"I asked about her pick-up arrangement. At first, Ms. Angie said that Keanu, Grandma, and Grandpa can pick her up. But when I met her last time, Ms. Angie changed her mind. She said that because Grandma and Grandpa are elderly, they should just wait at home with Keanu because the Covid cases are still high. So, there won't be any special pick-up," Krisna Murti said.

2. Visiting Adjie Massaid's Grave

According to Krisna Murti, after leaving the prison, Angelina will visit Adjie Massaid's grave. She will make time to visit her late husband's grave at the Jeruk Purut Public Cemetery in South Jakarta.

"I asked her what she wants to do after getting out. Ms. Angie said she will first perform a prayer of gratitude. Then, she said she wants to visit her late husband's grave, Mr. Adjie," he explained.

"I asked her if she misses him. She then talked about Mr. Adjie's sudden departure. Surely, Ms. Angie must have a deep longing," he added.

3. Administration is Already Completed

However, Krisna Murti does not know the exact date of Angelina Sondakh's freedom. "The administrative process is already completed. Hopefully, in the near future, mba Angie will be free. (As for the date), KumHAM will directly release it," said Krisna Murti in the SCBD area, Jakarta, on Tuesday (1/3/2022).

According to Krisna Murti, before her release, Angie's feelings are so mixed up that it makes it difficult for her to sleep. "Physically, she is fine, but mentally, mbak Angie is having difficulty sleeping before her freedom," said Krisna.

"I asked why? Mbak Angie said it's because her feelings are mixed up. She believes and doesn't believe she can go through 10 years. So, it's a mix of belief and disbelief," said Krisna Murti.

4. Often Crying

According to Krisna Murti, Angelina Sondakh also often cries now because she will soon be released from custody. "Now she's just crying. Because Mbak Angie is in the large block, mixed with other inmates there who she has bonded with. Many are sad because Mbak Angie is quite respected there," said Krisna.

In terms of physical appearance, after spending 10 years in prison, Krisna Murti said that Angelina Sondakh looks thinner. However, it does not diminish the beauty aura of the winner of the Puteri Indonesia 2001 beauty pageant.

"Physically, no matter what, Mbak Angie is a former Miss Indonesia, so her beauty aura is still there, it doesn't disappear. Physically, she is slimmer, thinner," said Krisna Murti.

5. Angelina's Case

In February 2012, Angelina Sondakh was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for the corruption case of Wisma Atlet.

Displeased with the verdict, Angelina filed an appeal. However, in the Court's decision on November 21, 2013, her sentence was actually increased to 12 years in prison.
