Fulfilling Assimilation Requirements, Aris Idol Officially Released from Prison

Kapanlagi.com - Good news comes from Januarisman Runtuwene, or commonly known as Aris Idol. He was conditionally released from Cipinang Detention Center, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (15/4/2020) after fulfilling the assimilation requirements issued by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

As known, Aris was arrested by the Narcotics Detective Unit of Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok Police on January 15, 2019. From the arrest, evidence was collected consisting of 0.23 grams of methamphetamine, one bong unit, and five mobile phones.

"Yes, Aris was assimilated yesterday. He has served half of the (detention period). The decision at that time was two years and six months," said Ulin Nuha, the Head of Cipinang Detention Center, when contacted by phone on Thursday (16/4/2020).

Aris went out around one o'clock in the afternoon and was picked up by his child and wife. Before that, the champion of Indonesian Idol 2008 had to take care of many documents.

In the future, Aris will have to report regularly until he is completely free. Considering that Indonesia is one of the countries affected by the coronavirus pandemic, the reporting process is done online.

"There is a mandatory reporting. Because in the situation of Covid-19, supervision is done from the prison. The supervision is done online, so it is checked via video call by the prison officers," he said.
