Fulfilling the Call of Bali Regional Police, Jerinx SID Does Not Wear a Mask and Wears a Shirt with the Writing 'Indonesia Rejects Rapid'

Kapanlagi.com - I Gede Ari Astina or Jerinx SID (Superman Is Dead) finally fulfilled the call of Bali Regional Police regarding the report of hate speech and defamation on Thursday (6/8). He arrived without wearing a mask and wearing a shirt with the writing 'Indonesia Rejects Rapid', Jerinx will be examined as a witness in the case reported by the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) in Bali region.

Accompanied by his lawyer, Wayan Gendo Suardana, he arrived at the Special Criminal Directorate Building of Bali Regional Police at 10:30 AM. Upon arrival, Jerinx loudly stated that he was ready to fulfill the call.

Jerinx stated that there is nothing wrong with his post on his Instagram account, even the 43-year-old man said that his post is a form of criticism. Furthermore, Jerinx also mentioned that he has no intention of spreading hatred and hurting the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI).

"I am 100% sure. What I did was right. I didn't mean anything negative or bad. What I did was purely criticism as a citizen," he said.

"I want to emphasize once again that I have no hatred and no intention to destroy or hurt the feelings of my IDI friends. So, this is 100% criticism," he continued.

Previously, Jerinx SID was reported to the Bali Regional Police by the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) Bali. Bali Police Public Relations Division Head, Kombes Syamsi, said that the report was related to alleged defamation and hate speech posted on Jerinx's Instagram account.

"So, what was reported is related to hate speech and defamation through social media on his Instagram account. Today, the person in question has fulfilled our summons," said Syamsi.

He mentioned that one of the reported posts mentioned IDI and hospitals as puppets of WHO. The sentence in question is, "Because they proudly became WHO's puppet, IDI and hospitals arbitrarily require everyone who will give birth to take a Covid-19 test," wrote Jerinx SID in his post.

Regarding this matter, Jerinx is suspected of violating Article 28 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45A Paragraph (2) and/or Article 27 Paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 45 Paragraph (3) of the Indonesian Law Number 19 Year 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions.
