Kapanlagi.com - Conversation between musician Erdian Aji Prihartanto alias Anji and someone referred to as professor named Hadi Pranoto, has caused a stir. Both of them are now reported by the Chairman of Cyber Indonesia, Muanas Alaidid, for alleged spreading of fake news to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Monday (8/3/2020).
According to Muanas, the conversation uploaded on the YouTube account @duniamanji is suspected of containing false information regarding the discovery of a cure for the Corona virus or Covid-19.
"We came to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police's SPKT to officially report the content uploaded on Anji's YouTube channel. It has a duration of about 35 minutes and is related to an interview. It is said that a professor named Hadi Pranoto claimed to have made a discovery regarding a cure for Covid-19," said Muanas after reporting at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police.
Muanas believes that Hadi Pranoto's statements can cause anxiety among the public. First, regarding the price of rapid and swab tests. "The controversial statements made by the professor during the interview include mentioning the handling of rapid tests and swab tests, which allegedly he has a technology or digital technology. He said the cost is only Rp 10,000 and Rp 20,000. However, we know that in hospitals, the cost borne by the public is hundreds of thousands to millions. We don't want the public to think they are being deceived and extorted, turns out it's all trickery and only for profit," said Muanas.

Second, it is Hadi Pranoto's statement claiming to have found a cure for COVID-19. However, the drug claimed by Hadi Pranoto has not been clinically tested.
"The discovery of this COVID drug is opposed by the IDI. They state that there is no discovery regarding COVID and there is currently no cure for it. We see this professor stating in his interview that he can cure it with patients who have already recovered," said Muanas.
Muanas also reported Anji and Hadi Pranoto with different articles. For Hadi Pranoto, he is charged with Article 14 of Law Number 1 of 1946.
This article states that anyone who disseminates false news or information with the intention of causing unrest among the public shall be punished with a maximum of ten years imprisonment.
Meanwhile, Anji is charged with Article 28 paragraph 1 of Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE).
This article states that anyone who intentionally and without authority spreads false and misleading news that causes consumer losses in electronic transactions shall be punished with a maximum of 6 years imprisonment and/or a fine of up to one billion rupiah.
