Full of Emotion, Aaliyah Massaid's Moments Asking for Blessings from Her Beloved Mother

This sacred moment was witnessed directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, and the Chairman of the MPR, Dr. H. Bambang Soesatyo.

Embracing Javanese customs, Aaliyah looked elegant with a paes decoration on her face, while Thariq appeared dashing in an ivory-colored beskap. The wedding ceremony began around 08:30 WIB.

Before the ijab kabul ceremony, Aaliyah asked for blessings from her beloved mother, Reza Artamevia. Not only to her mother, Aaliyah also sought blessings from her uncle who served as her marriage guardian, Mudji Massaid. She asked Mudji to marry her to Thariq, the man she chose as her life partner.

"Aaliyah asks for sincerity and prayers from her mother for Aaliyah. My beloved mother, since Aaliyah was born, I have committed many sins and I sincerely apologize. I also can never repay what my mother has given," Aaliyah expressed with deep emotion.

"Aaliyah asks Uncle Mudji to marry and unite Aaliyah with Thariq. Aaliyah is sincere and hopeful, may Aaliyah's marriage be blessed by Allah SWT," she said.
