Kapanlagi.com - After filing an appeal because she was not satisfied with her husband, Galih Ginanjar received the heaviest sentence among the defendants in the salted fish case, Barbie Kumalasari returned to the South Jakarta District Court to submit an appeal memorandum, Monday (27/4).
"Yes, today's agenda is to submit the appeal memorandum together with our lawyer because it was already registered last week, so this week is just the submission," said Barbie Kumalasari.
In submitting the appeal memorandum, Barbie was accompanied by two new legal representatives who replaced the previous legal representative of Galih Ginanjar. They are Sugiyarto, SH and Denny Lubis, SH.
Denny Lubis said that Galih, who was only present for an interview with Rey Utami, should not receive a heavier punishment than Rey Utami and Pablo Benua.
"The most important thing is a sense of justice, Galih does not deserve such punishment," he said.
As known, defendants Galih Ginanjar, Rey Utami, and Pablo Benua were found guilty on Monday (13/4). The three defendants in the salted fish case were found guilty of defamation against Fairuz A Rafiq.
For their actions, they received different punishments. Rey Utami was sentenced to 1 year and 4 months in prison, and her husband Pablo Benua was sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in prison.
Meanwhile, Galih Ginanjar received the heaviest punishment, which is 2 years and 4 months in prison.
