Reasons Police Wear PPE During Tio Pakusadewo's Drug Arrest

Kapanlagi.com - Tio Pakusadewo was arrested by the police again for a drug case. Actor Tio Pakusadewo was arrested by the police on Tuesday (14/4) early morning. He was arrested at his residence by Subdit 1 Diresnarkoba Polda Metro Jaya.

When asked by reporters, Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus, confirmed that the artist with the initials TP is a drug user.

"This is the second arrest. Yesterday he was rehabilitated, but why was there no change? We need to educate him as well because it is about the danger of drug abuse that never stops. We will impose a deterrent effect, including those who have already done it," said Kombes Yuri.

During this search process, the police officers used personal protective equipment (PPE). In a press conference on Instagram Narkoba Metro, the Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Commissioner Yusri Yunus, stated that this was done as a form of preventing the transmission of the coronavirus.

"Some of you may have asked why during the search and arrest of TP, there were officers wearing PPE even though it was not complete. This is one of the innovations we have implemented because in the current situation, we do not know where the virus is. So, we anticipate by looking at the situation at the location, and the officers use protective equipment. This is preparedness," said Commissioner Yusri.

2. Conducting Further Examination

The arrest took place in the early hours of Tuesday (14/4). Furthermore, the police stated that they will conduct further examination for the second drug case involving Tio Pakusadewo.

"We just arrested him, and actually, we asked for two or three days to investigate whether he is just a user, a dealer, or a buyer. Because his initial confession was that he buys twice a month. Whether he only buys from R or someone else, we haven't investigated yet. Hopefully, if there are any developments tomorrow, we will inform everyone. Whether he is a possible dealer, after the examination results," said Commissioner Yusri.
