Police Reveal Reasons for Designating Vanessa Angel as a Suspect

Kapanlagi.com - West Jakarta Metro Police have designated Vanessa Angel as a suspect for possessing the psychotropic drug xanax. The designation of suspect against Vanessa Angel is based on Article 62 of Law number 5 of 1997 concerning psychotropic drugs.

"Based on the results of the examination of witnesses and additional examination of VA, we concluded that VA has been involved in drug abuse," said Ronaldo Maradona, the Head of the West Jakarta Police Narcotics Unit, in his statement through Live Instagram.

Ronaldo Maradona said that Vanessa Angel has been proven to possess, store psychotropic drugs without authorization. This officially makes her a suspect.

"Therefore, her status is a suspect and we will proceed with the investigation process as mandated by the Law," said Ronaldo Maradona.

2. Threatened with Imprisonment

In being held accountable for her actions, Vanessa Angel faces a maximum prison sentence of 5 years. Meanwhile, her husband, Bibi Ardiansyah, is directed to undergo rehabilitation.

"For a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison and a fine of 100 million rupiah according to Article 62 of Law number 5 of 1997 concerning psychotropic drugs," said Ronaldo Maradona.

As it is known, on March 16, 2020, Vanessa Angel and her husband were arrested by the police. At that time, the police had confiscated evidence of several xanax pills found in Vanessa's residence.
