Gempi Releases Single 'Ajaib', The Song Written by Yura Yunita

Kapanlagi.com - Gempita Nora Marten, daughter of Gading Marten and Gisela Anastasia, has just released her debut single titled Ajaib. This song was written by musician Yura Yunita, with support from her husband, Donne Maula.

This collaboration began from Gempi's love for the world of music, especially Yura's songs that she often listens to. Gading Marten revealed that Gempi's talent in singing has actually been evident since the beginning, just as a habit of singing in the car.

"We know that Gempi only sings in the car, right? Then over time, we heard Yura and Gempi became a huge fan of Kak Yura's works. Eventually, they met Kak Yura," Gading expressed in the Senayan area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (13/11/2024).

"So, Yura said she wanted to make a song for Gempi, would she like it? Of course, she would love it," Gading added.

1. Gempi Has Shown Interest in Music Since Early Age

As parents who both have an artistic background, both Gisel and Gading want to ensure that Gempi follows her interests happily. Gisel then explained that Gempi has actually shown an interest in music since she was three years old.

"As parents, we definitely support whatever our child likes. Yes, her mother can sing, her father can too; the artistic blood is clearly visible. But the child isn’t the type to perform, but she can and is good at it," Gisel explained.

"Actually, she likes to sing since she was three, but it wasn’t that remarkable. It’s like she already has this distinctive voice. We haven’t polished anything yet; this is really Gempi, the original Gempi as she is," she continued.

2. Yura Yunita's Reason for Making a Song for Gempi

Meanwhile, Yura Yunita revealed her reason for being interested in creating a song for Gempi. She admitted that she has a dream of creating songs that can be enjoyed by Indonesian children.

"Initially, because we are all Indonesians who really love Gempi, it all feels magical. We see this child as truly extraordinary," Yura expressed.

"During the Tutur Batin concert, we met again, and it was really magical. Then my audience had a lot of kids singing along. And I also have a dream to create a song for children, and I hope the song Ajaib can be sung by all children," Yura added.

3. Praise for Gempi from Yura Yunita's Husband

Donne Maula, Yura's husband, also helped in the process of creating the song Ajaib. According to Donne, they first saw Gempi on Instagram and were immediately inspired by the positive energy that the child has.

"We first saw Gempi on IG, and we always said this child is really magical. We also saw Papa Gading and Gisel with Gempi and they seemed really warm," said Donne.

This song was successfully created in two and a half hours, starting with Yura's voice as a guide before it was finally given to Gempi to be recorded. With the release of the song Ajaib, Gading and Gisel hope this work can become a personal song for Gempi and can be enjoyed by many children in Indonesia.
