Registration for KIP College can be done independently by prospective recipients or through universities for students who have been accepted. The process includes account creation, data entry, verification, and the determination of aid recipients according to applicable regulations.

1. What Are the Requirements to Register for KIP Kuliah 2026?

Applicants for the KIP Kuliah scholarship must meet the general requirements that have been established. This program is intended for high school/vocational school/equivalent students who graduate in the current year or graduates from a maximum of two years prior. The age of the applicants must not exceed 21 years at the time of the registration process and they must have good academic potential.

Additionally, participants must meet administrative requirements. The data that must be possessed includes a National Student Identification Number (NISN), a National School Identification Number (NPSN), and a valid Population Identification Number (NIK). All three pieces of data must match the information recorded in the Basic Education Data (Dapodik) from the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Applicants also need to prepare an active email address. The use of a Gmail account is recommended to facilitate the registration process and the receipt of information from the KIP Kuliah system.

The next requirement relates to economic conditions. Applicants must come from poor or economically vulnerable families, as evidenced according to the KIP Kuliah provisions. The evidence can be in the form of data listed in the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN), ownership of the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP), Prosperous Family Card (KKS), or proof of participation in other social assistance programs recognized by the government.

If not registered in DTSEN or does not have KIP or KKS, applicants can still attach a Letter of Unable to Pay (SKTM) or other supporting documents that show their economic condition in accordance with program requirements.

In addition, participants must also pass the university entrance selection through the SNBP pathway, UTBK-SNBT, or independent selection, and be accepted into a study program that has official accreditation at both public and private universities according to KIP Kuliah regulations.

2. Stages of Registration for KIP Kuliah 2026 That Need to Be Followed

Registration begins with creating a KIP Kuliah account through the official website or the Android-based KIP Kuliah application. At this stage, prospective students must enter their Population Identification Number (NIK), National Student Number (NISN), National School Principal Number (NPSN), and an active email address.

The system will validate the entered data. If all data is deemed correct, participants will receive a Registration Number and Access Code sent to the registered email address. Both pieces of information are used to log into the KIP Kuliah account.

After successfully logging in, participants are asked to complete various data, starting from personal data, family data, economic condition, housing and asset data, to achievements if any. At this same stage, participants must also upload the necessary supporting documents, such as the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP), Prosperous Family Card (KKS), or Letter of Unable to Pay (SKTM) if needed.

The next step is to choose the university selection pathway to be followed. The options include the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), UTBK-SNBT, independent selection of public universities, or independent selection of private universities.

Participants need to ensure that the pathway selected in the KIP Kuliah system is correct before participating in the university entrance selection process. Specifically for SNBP participants, the data will be synchronized host-to-host with the SNPMB system.

After being declared successful in the university entrance selection, the process continues to the verification stage by the campus. The college will check the completeness of the documents while assessing the eligibility of participants as candidates for KIP Kuliah.

If any data is found to be inconsistent or if there are proven complaints, participants cannot be designated as recipients of assistance. Conversely, participants who pass the entrance selection, complete the re-registration, and successfully go through the verification process will be announced as recipients of KIP Kuliah according to the applicable regulations.

3. Registration Schedule and Forms of Assistance for KIP Kuliah 2026

Registration for the KIP Kuliah 2026 student account opens from February 3 to October 31, 2026. During this period, prospective students also need to pay attention to the schedule of each selection pathway for entering higher education.

For the SNBP pathway, the registration period runs from February 10–18, 2026. Meanwhile, registration for UTBK-SNBT is open from March 25 to April 7, 2026. The independent selection for PTN and PTS is scheduled to take place from June 15 to October 31, 2026.

The KIP Kuliah program provides tuition fee waivers that are paid directly to the higher education institution according to the regulations. In addition, recipients also receive monthly living expenses assistance with amounts adjusted based on the regional cluster where the campus is located.

For undergraduate (S1) and Diploma Four (D4) students, assistance can be provided for up to a maximum of eight semesters in accordance with applicable regulations.
