Haji Faisal Questions Tubagus Joddy, Vanessa Angel's Driver, and Bibi Who Has Been Released from Prison, Admits to Severe Trauma

Kapanlagi.com - Tubagus Joddy's release after serving a 2.5-year sentence for the accident that claimed the lives of Vanessa Angel and Bibi Ardiansyah has drawn reactions from Haji Faisal. As the father of Bibi Ardiansyah, Haji Faisal stated that he could not do much regarding Joddy's release.

According to him, Joddy has undergone the legal process, although he still feels disappointed with the length of the sentence imposed. "Well, if he has been released, then it’s fine because he has served his sentence; it means for me that if he has gone through the legal procedure, what else can we say," said Haji Faisal when met in the Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta, Monday (23/9/2024).

However, he also admitted that there is a deep sense of disappointment because he had to lose his child and son-in-law in the tragedy. "Indeed, I am somewhat disappointed, why, I lost my child and my son-in-law, and that has traumatized me heavily at that time," he said.

Initially, Haji Faisal accepted the five-year prison sentence for Tubagus Joddy, although he hoped that the punishment would serve as a deterrent, not only for Joddy but also for others who might drive recklessly.

"Five years is okay, I don't ask for more, so that there is a deterrent point, for him and others so they don't drive carelessly, there is a deterrent point, there is also a sense of horror," he said.

"If it continues like this, it won't make others feel, like, maybe not so scared, after all, two people died only 2.5 years, that's in my mind," he added.

2. Mixed Feelings of the Family

When Joddy visited Haji Faisal to apologize after being released, the meeting brought mixed feelings for the family. Haji Faisal's wife, Dewi Zuhriati, even experienced shock, recalling the good relationship they once had with Joddy as their employee.

"Well, my wife is already in shock, because back then we cared for all of you as employees, so in the trial, there were disclosures of negligence and mistakes that we believe were not normal for him to commit, high speed, and taking something, yes that is not right at high speed," he said.

Although he has apologized, Haji Faisal asked Joddy not to disturb his family anymore. "Yes, he apologized. 'Just go away, just go away' I said. 'I want you to not disturb me and I won’t disturb you, and don’t disturb my family'," concluded Haji Faisal.
