Kapanlagi.com - A few days ago, actor Aliando Syarief made a surprising statement during a live Instagram session. He revealed the facts behind his withdrawal from the public eye for the past two years.

The 25-year-old actor admitted to having OCD or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. This mental disorder makes the sufferer feel compelled to repeat certain patterns of behavior.

"I have OCD, that's why I didn't appear for two years. And I don't want any strange news either. The accurate news comes directly from Ali's account," Ali said as quoted by KapanLagi.com during his live broadcast.

1. Salute to Aliando's Confession

Aliando Syarief's confession was responded with admiration by Prilly Latuconsina. As known, Ali and Prilly were close when they were involved in a soap opera project.

"It's not easy to accept (the condition) and then speak up to others. I really salute him," said Prilly when met at Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Monday (31/1/2022).

Prilly Latuconsina admires Aliando Syarief's confession because she has also been in a similar position. As known, Prilly admitted to being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Prilly Latuconsina stated that mental disorders like that should not be self-diagnosed. Instead, it should be done after consulting with professionals.

"Don't diagnose yourself and diagnose others. Because if we're not psychiatrists or psychologists, we don't have the right to say 'you seem to have this', 'you seem to have bipolar mood swings'. You have to go to a psychologist or psychiatrist first," she said.

Aliando Syarief surprisingly announced that he is experiencing Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Due to his condition, Aliando has difficulty carrying out activities and has decided to withdraw from several of his work projects.
