Kapanlagi.com - Senior comedian Tessy Srimulat attended the Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency on Tuesday (30/7/2024) to clarify statements linking him to figure T, who is suspected to be the online gambling boss. Accompanied by his lawyer Nazarudin Lubis, Tessy stated that he does not understand what online gambling is at all and feels disturbed by the issue.
According to Tessy, he initially felt relaxed when his photo circulated in various chat groups and was mentioned alongside figure T and online gambling. However, over time he felt disturbed and admitted that he did not understand what online gambling was.
"Earlier it was said, is it true that my photo is circulating everywhere, I don't know if it’s a joke or not. But I thought it was a group joke, I also don’t understand what judol is, I didn’t know that judol means online gambling, oh online gambling. Wow, I can barely make ends meet, let alone gamble," he expressed as quoted by KapanLagi.com via KompasTV at the Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency.
Tessy also mentioned that the statement from the Head of BP2MI Benny Rhamdani about the figure controlling online gambling with the initial T has raised a very disturbing issue.
“It’s very disturbing, so please don’t let there be anything like that again, remove all my photos. I’m already ugly, and it just makes it worse,” Tessy continued.
Therefore, she requested that her name no longer be associated with the news about figure T. Tessy seems to be worried about her job because her name has been dragged into this fake news.
“There’s a big screen project in Solo and then there will be a show at Taman Ismail Marzuki (disturbed),” Tessy expressed.
Tessy Srimulat was dragged into the online gambling case because her face appeared in various WhatsApp (WA) group chats in the form of a photo related to the initial T of the online gambling boss.
The photo displayed Tessy’s face with the caption of the initial T of the online gambling boss, which was then interpreted as a joke by many people. However, due to the emergence of the photo, Tessy felt disturbed and troubled, and felt the need to clear her name from the issue.
Tessy's arrival at the Bareskrim Polri is a step taken to clarify and resolve issues that have affected her activities as a comedian.
Thus, she hopes to eliminate the misunderstandings that have arisen and refocus on her work in the entertainment world.
