Holding Back Tears, Paula Verhoeven Expresses Gratitude for Meeting Johnny Wong Before His Passing

Deep sorrow is felt by the extended family of Baim Wong after his father, Johnny Wong, passed away on Tuesday (1/7/2025) at 04:27 AM at RS Abdi Waluyo, Central Jakarta. Several relatives and friends were seen present at the funeral home in the Gondangdia area of Jakarta, including his daughter-in-law, Paula Verhoeven.

Before leaving Baim's house, Paula took a moment to greet the media crew. She conducted a brief interview with a face holding back tears of sadness due to the passing of her father-in-law.

When met at the funeral home, Paula revealed that she had a chance to meet her father-in-law before his passing. “Thank God, yesterday at the hospital I was able to meet him for the last time,” said Paula.

Paula admitted that the last moment occurred two weeks ago when she visited Johnny Wong, who was undergoing treatment in the hospital. “Two weeks ago yesterday at the hospital, I visited him,” she said.

For Paula, Johnny Wong left a deep impression as a good person. She hopes the deceased is granted the best place beside Him. “Masya Allah, he was a good person. May his path be made easy,” she stated.

Paula also requested prayers from everyone for the smooth journey of the deceased to eternity. “Please pray for dad so that his path may be made easy,” added Paula.

Johnny Wong was reported to have undergone intensive treatment at RS Abdi Waluyo for 20 days in December 2024. At that time, he was said to often vomit every time he tried to eat, but until now, the family has not provided an official statement regarding the cause of his death.

The news of Johnny Wong's passing leaves a deep sorrow for his extended family and close friends. Paula appeared to remain strong despite not being able to hide her sense of loss.
