How Morgan Oey and Valerie Thomas Build Chemistry in the Film 'ROMEO INGKAR JANJI'

In order to delve into their characters, Morgan and Valerie often spend time together outside of the shooting location. They do this to build chemistry as co-stars in this film.

Morgan Oey revealed that usually, if he already knows his co-star, they immediately start the process of character development. However, a different situation occurred with Valerie Thomas. Because they had never interacted before, Morgan felt the need to personally get to know Valerie first.

"In Romeo Ingkar Janji it's a bit different because I haven't met Valerie before, so I wanted to get to know her in person first before we delve into the characters of Romeo and Agatha," said Morgan Oey during a press conference at Epicentrum Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Friday (19/7/2024).

Valerie Thomas added that the process of getting close to Morgan was not simple. They had to go through various conversations that were not always pleasant to achieve the desired level of closeness in the film.

"If there is free time we use our time as dates. So whenever we are together, we take it like we're on a date," said Valerie Thomas.

"It's just funny, from one layer to another, until finally I know him, talking to Morgan is like talking to Romeo," Valerie explained.

The movie Romeo Ingkar Janji is scheduled to be released on July 25, 2024 in theaters. The film, directed by Emil Heradi, was shot in Bali.

Romeo Ingkar Janji tells the story of Agatha (Valerie Thomas), a woman who sees love as a misfortune in her life due to her broken family background.

In her effort to understand herself through adventure, courage, and love, Agatha meets Romeo (Morgan Oey), a tattoo artist from the capital city who decides to create in Bali. However, their love journey does not go smoothly and they have to face various unexpected obstacles.
