Ikhwan realizes that the competition in Group 1 of the Final Audition of D'Academy 8 will not be easy. According to him, all participants have very good vocal quality, so every performance must be prepared as best as possible.

Nevertheless, the participant from Polewali Mandar chooses to focus on his own abilities rather than thinking about the strengths of his competitors.

Ikhwan also admits that he has prepared his mentality in case the results do not meet expectations. For him, failure is not a reason to stop pursuing his dreams.

"Incredible, they are all amazing. Their abilities are above average. But we really have to prepare ourselves because what makes us successful is ourselves. So we have to believe in ourselves," he said when met at the Indosiar Studio, Jakarta, Monday (29/6/2026).

"If it hasn't worked out yet, don't give up. There are still many opportunities out there that might be even greater. Just live your life and keep looking for other paths," he said.

The experience of failure in 2021 became a valuable lesson that made him more mature in facing this year's competition.

"Finally being given another opportunity to come here is already a great pride," he reminisced.

Now, Ikhwan just wants to perform his best while always remembering the support of his parents, which is his greatest source of motivation.

"I only believe in myself. I remember my parents, I remember the qualities I have," concluded Ikhwan.
