Delira, a Contestant of Dangdut Academy 8, Admits to Being an Introvert but Dares to Perform Because of This

Kapanlagi.com - Delira's performance on the Dangdut Academy 8 stage proves that feelings of inferiority are no longer an obstacle to pursuing dreams. This contestant from Garut revealed that she has an introverted personality but chooses to step out of her comfort zone to achieve her ambition of becoming a singer.

"Actually, I am an introvert, but thank God I can be at this point now," said Delira when met at the Indosiar Studio in Jakarta on Monday (29/6/2026).

1. Delira's Biggest Motivation

For Delira, her struggle in Dangdut Academy 8 is not merely about wanting to be known by many people. The 16-year-old teenager has a bigger dream, which is to make her parents proud and to repay their efforts that have always supported her steps until she could stand on that prestigious dangdut competition stage.

"I want to make my parents proud, elevate their status, and also want to prove to everyone, including the teachers who have taught me," she said.

Although she is still 16 years old, Delira is committed to going through every process to the fullest. She is grateful to have reached this stage and hopes that all the efforts she has made can lead her to give her best performance at every opportunity.

"Alhamdulillah I can be at this point. Keep praying for me, hopefully, I can show my best later," she said.

2. Support from the People of Garut Becomes a Motivation

Delira's spirit has also increased thanks to the continuous support from the people of Garut since she participated in D'Academy 8. For her, the prayers and support from her hometown have become additional energy to keep fighting and moving further in the competition.

"To the people of Garut and all my friends. Please keep praying and supporting me," she said.

Now, Delira has chosen to focus on developing her singing abilities without being burdened by her shy nature. She believes that consistency in learning and hard work are the main provisions to achieve her dreams while also delivering the best performance in front of the judges and the audience.

"The point is to keep learning so that I can present the best, not to disappoint the judges and everyone," she concluded.
