Immediately Detained, Aliff Alli Declared a Suspect in Document Forgery Case

Kapanlagi.com - Actor Aliff Alli has been declared a suspect in a case of forging birth certificate documents for his child. The case was reported by his ex-wife, Aska Ongi.

The suspect designation against the Malaysian actor was carried out after being questioned on Tuesday (1/3/2023).

After being declared a suspect, the police also immediately detained Miller Khan's younger brother.

"Brother Aliff Alli was declared a suspect and detained since last night," said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Pol Endra Zulpan, on Wednesday (2/3/2022).

1. Checked for Quite a Long Time

Aliff Alli underwent a relatively long examination. Nevertheless, this father of one child remained cooperative during the examination.

"The examination started from yesterday afternoon until evening, with breaks in between. Cooperative," he said.

For your information, Aska Ongi's report was actually registered last year in 2020. However, the case is being processed again this year and Aska Ongi was even examined in January.

2. Initial Suspicion

Aska's suspicion regarding document forgery by her ex-husband began when she wanted to obtain a birth certificate for her child at the South Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Office last year. However, it was rejected because Aska Ongi's residence had changed to Central Jakarta.

From there, Aska's suspicion arose. She suspected that Aliff had falsified his ID card to create a birth certificate for their child, so she decided to report the father of her child to the police.

3. Immediately Detained

The Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Pol Endra Zulpan, explained that the investigators had their own reasons for immediately detaining the former husband of Aska Ongi.

"So this is also one of the reasons why we immediately detained the person, so that he doesn't escape. Because he is a foreign citizen, from Malaysia," said Endra Zulpan on Wednesday (2/3/2022).

4. Sufficient Evidence

Then Endra Zulpan mentioned that they also have sufficient evidence. It is from these pieces of evidence that they have changed Aliff's status from a witness to a suspect.

"The investigators also have all the supporting evidence in order to establish him as a suspect as regulated in Article 184 of the Criminal Procedure Code, which requires a minimum of two pieces of evidence. The evidence related to document forgery has also been fulfilled," said Endra Zulpan.
