Political Stage Trauma, Angelina Sondakh's Plans After Being Released from Prison

Kapanlagi.com - Artist and politician Angelina Sondakh will soon be released after serving a 10-year prison sentence. If there are no obstacles, Angelina will be released in April 2022, according to her lawyer Krisna Murti.

After her release, Angelina Sondakh already has various plans. One of them is to visit Adjie Massaid's grave and spend a lot of time with her children and parents.

"I asked her, what will you do once you're out. Mbak Angie said first she will express her gratitude. Then she said she wants to visit her late husband's grave, Adjie," said Krisna Murti, interviewed in the SCBD area, Jakarta, on Tuesday (1/3/2022).

"Mbak Angie wants to make up for lost time, in the sense that she wants to apologize and enjoy time to be closer to Keanu, Oma, Opa, and her loved ones," said Krisna Murti.

1. No Longer Engaging in Politics

When asked if Angelina will return to the political stage, Krisna assures that his client will no longer engage in politics.

"I asked if she still wants to be involved in politics or entertainment. Mbak Angie said, 'Mas, it's better if we don't talk about politics. I am traumatized by talking about politics. I don't want to dive into politics again.' She's traumatized," said Krisna Murti.

2. Frequently Crying

According to Krisna Murti, Angelina Sondakh often cries because she will soon be released from detention.

"She's crying right now. Because Mbak Angie is in the large block, mixed with other inmates. Many people are sad because Mbak Angie is quite respected there," said Krisna.

3. Difficult to Sleep Before Freedom

Still according to Krisna Murti, before her release, Angie's feelings are so mixed up that it makes it difficult for the single mother to sleep. "Physically she is fine, but mentally Mbak Angie is now having difficulty sleeping before her freedom," said Krisna.

"I asked why? Mbak Angie said, because her feelings are mixed up. She believes and doesn't believe that she can go through 10 years. So it's between believing and not believing," said Krisna Murti.

4. 12 Years Prison Sentence

In February 2012, Angelina Sondakh was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for the corruption case of Wisma Atlet.

Not accepting it, Angelina filed an appeal. However, in the court's verdict on November 21, 2013, her sentence was instead increased to 12 years in prison.
