Kapanlagi.com - Singer Erdian Aji Prihartanto, also known as Anji, is currently facing legal issues related to the abuse of marijuana. Anji was arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit with 30 grams of marijuana as evidence.
According to Commissioner Pol. Ady Wibowo, the West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Anji was arrested alone in his music studio in the Cibubur area of East Jakarta on Friday, June 11, 2021, at around 19:30 WIB. Anji, who tested positive for marijuana consumption, kept the 'item' in his studio speaker and also in Bandung, West Java.
During the police interrogation, the singer, who began his career with the band Drive, admitted to consuming marijuana since September 2020. Anji claimed to use the narcotic, which falls under category one, to find inner peace and to be more productive in creating works.
"According to the person concerned, to relax and be productive, they may seek it as an artist," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Pol Ady Wibowo on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.

Based on the police investigation, Anji purchased marijuana from a foreign website. The website sells marijuana for medical and recreational purposes.
For your information, the recreational use of marijuana is legalized in some states in the United States. However, according to Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, marijuana is classified as a type I narcotic along with crystal meth, cocaine, opium, and heroin in Indonesia.
"According to the person involved, they obtained the goods from a website located outside, namely megamarijuanastore.com, which is suspected to be an American website," said Ady Wibowo.

To make the transaction, Anji used someone else's services to freely access the website. Currently, the service provider is still being pursued by the police.
"To access the website, you need an ID. The ID is obtained from someone who is still on the wanted list," said Ady Wibowo.
For his actions, Anji is charged under Article 111 paragraph 1 Sub Article 127 paragraph 1 letter a of the Republic of Indonesia Law. Anji faces a prison sentence of 4 to 12 years.
