Inara Rusli Responds to the Controversy of Doctor HC Title for Raffi Ahmad, Says Raffi Deserves to be Honored

Kapanlagi.com - Inara Rusli shares her opinion regarding the Doctor title received by her friend, Raffi Ahmad, after some parties questioned the validity of the title. Inara expressed her support for Raffi and emphasized that the institution granting the title is well-accredited. According to her, the title has certainly gone through a proper assessment process.

"In my opinion, since the university is already accredited, it wouldn't just give out a title randomly," Inara said when met in the Sarinah area, Central Jakarta, Thursday (7/11/2024).

Inara added that the granting of titles should have undergone a strict process, including assessments from academic parties at the university who have validity. Responding to netizens who claim the title is fake, Inara argued that only academics or those who have direct information from the university are entitled to give an assessment.

"Unless the one giving the label is also an academic and indeed an alumnus or perhaps someone from there who really knows," she continued.

Inara also emphasized that without valid evidence, such accusations should not be made. "If it turns out that there is no valid evidence, then what can we say, there will definitely be legal consequences," she asserted.

When asked about reports that the professor who conferred the title was allegedly a fake professor, Inara was reluctant to speculate further. "Oh, I don’t know about that, wallahu'alam. Because that incident didn’t happen there," she said briefly.

As a close friend of Raffi, Inara admitted that she continues to provide full support regardless of the rumors circulating. According to her, Raffi has shown his dedication as a public figure deserving of respect.

"Well, regardless of whether it’s fake or not, I think A Raffi truly deserves to be given an honorable title," said Inara.

Inara also highlighted Raffi's personal traits that she knows well. According to her, Raffi is a polite person with a high level of social concern, far beyond mere job demands.

"Because personally, I know him personally, Raffi is indeed a polite person and helps a lot of people," she said.

She mentioned that the social concern Raffi shows is not just a role demand as a celebrity, but also reflects his sincere nature.

"His social concern is very, very high, not just because of role demands or job demands. But indeed, personally he is someone who helps a lot of people," she added.
