Insanul Fahmi Surprised That His First Wife Kept CCTV Evidence for 2 Months

A new chapter in the legal dispute between Wardatina Mawa and her husband, Insanul Fahmi, as well as artist Inara Rusli, is heating up. The police report regarding the alleged adultery filed by Mawa at the Metro Jaya Police is now reported to have moved to the investigation stage. In response to this, Insanul Fahmi provided a response regarding the evidence submitted by the complainant.

Insanul Fahmi appeared to try to remain calm despite the status of the case involving him and Inara Rusli having escalated. He stated that he respects the legal procedures being carried out by the police, especially regarding the existence of electronic evidence in the form of CCTV recordings that are suspected to be the basis for the adultery allegations.

"Yes, that is the course of the legal process. If the legal process is ongoing, there must be progress reports on the process. If we look here, especially with the evidence being electronic or CCTV, yes," said Insanul Fahmi when met in the Kebon Jeruk area, West Jakarta, Thursday (19/2/2026).

As a background to the problem, this case began when Wardatina Mawa reported Insanul and Inara Rusli for alleged adultery. However, Insanul's side feels there is an anomaly in the CCTV evidence submitted by Mawa, particularly regarding the time frame of its submission to the investigator.

Insanul questions why the visual evidence was submitted long after the time of the incident. According to him, the delay in the submission of evidence by his first wife raises significant questions about the motive and authenticity of the context of the recorded event.

"We see here that there is a time difference from the taking of the CCTV, which was delayed for more than 2 months from when the CCTV was taken. Meanwhile, if we talk about the existence of an action to reveal a fact, why should it be delayed for 2 months?" he expressed in astonishment.

The Insanul party suspects that this domestic issue has been deliberately dramatized. He believes that a household case, which should be private, has now been packaged in such a way that it has become a public criminal issue of adultery.

"This is a household case that we strongly suspect has been packaged or shaped in such a way that it has become a much bigger issue," Insanul explained.

In addition to the time gap, Insanul also highlighted the suspicion that the video used as evidence is not complete. He confirmed indications that the CCTV recording has been cut into several parts, which need to be tested for validity. "Yes, if we look at the 7 parts, that's correct. Then there are several that we need to test because this legal process is not instantaneous," he added.

Nevertheless, Insanul is reluctant to disclose his defense strategy in detail to the media. He prefers to keep the counter-evidence he possesses to be revealed at the right time in front of the investigators from the Metro Jaya Police. "Just keep it for now, later I’m afraid of preempting the investigators. So all of that refers to the evidence, yes," he concluded.
