Irish Bella No Longer Acts in Soap Operas, Chooses to Focus on Being a Film Producer

Beautiful actress Irish Bella is now enjoying her new role in the entertainment industry of her homeland. No longer appearing on screen as a soap opera star, Irish Bella has chosen to switch professions to become a feature film producer.

This career change is acknowledged by Irish Bella as a new challenge presented by her husband, Haldy Sabri. She admits she has to learn a lot from scratch to understand the ins and outs of the film production world, which is very different from the acting world she has been involved in.

"What are the challenges? It's about managing time again, because this is something new, and my husband keeps giving me new assignments. So I’m learning to dive into this field, and we also have a film that is about to be released, which is something new," said Irish Bella when met in the Kramat area, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (25/4/2026).

Being a producer turns out to bring a much heavier workload for Irish Bella. If before she only needed to focus on acting and scripts, now she has to be responsible for all production elements from technical aspects to crew management on set.

"Honestly, learning to be a producer is tough. Usually, you just have to memorize the script, right? Then maybe take care of the clothes, handle makeup, and so on. But this time, it's different; I have to manage the set, the budget, the editing, the effects, the promotion, the CGI, and even the crew's accommodation, food arrangements, everything like that I have to make sure of. So that's what makes it stressful but enjoyable," she explained.

Irish Bella's decision to leave the world of soap operas was not without reason. Her husband clearly set boundaries regarding the jobs that Irish can take to ensure she still has enough time for family and children.

"No filming is allowed for soap operas, of course. For soap operas, if it's a movie, we also look at the desk, what the character is like, and so on. But for endorsement shoots, this filming is still ongoing," explained Haldy Sabri.

Haldy is worried about the very tight and time-consuming shooting schedule of the soap opera that goes on until late at night. For him, household harmony is far more important than Irish's busyness on set, which could trigger conflicts due tothe lack of time together.

"But with the soap opera, a lot of time is wasted, and on top of that, Kak Irish comes home late. When will she take care of the kids, when will she take care of her husband, it just becomes a mess. I think it’s better to just manage the business," he said.

Currently, Irish Bella is focused on promoting her latest work as a producer. The film titled "Dosa" is planned to greet film lovers in cinemas across the country soon. "Eleven, June 11. Don't forget to watch Dosa on June 11, okay? The title is Dosa," concluded Irish Bella.
