Jamal Retired Thug Stumbles Again in Drug Case, Said to be Influenced by Environment

Kapanlagi.com - Zulfikar, who plays Jamal in the soap opera Retired Thug once again was arrested by the police in relation to a drug case. This is the second time Jamal has been detained for a similar case, as he was previously detained in July 2019.

His lawyer, Hengky Solihin, said that his client has been trying to stay away from drugs since leaving the rehabilitation center in Lido, Bogor, West Java. However, he was influenced by his surroundings.

"After returning from rehab, he stayed away from narcotics, and even often met with me to create content for YouTube. But it turns out that there was someone next to him in his boarding house, and he was influenced again," said Hengky, contacted by phone on Friday (28/8).

1. Is Jamal Just a Victim?

According to Hengky, just yesterday Jamal started using drugs again, but unfortunately, Jamal was immediately arrested by the police again. In addition, there is evidence in the form of 0.38 grams of crystal meth and a smoking device, Hengky denied that it belongs to Jamal, he said that the items belong to AA.

"The bottom line is that he's really not doing it anymore, he's influenced by his environment. He just started using again yesterday. It was only found in Jamal's room (boarding house)," he said.

2. Submit Rehabilitation Request

As the legal representative, Hengky believes that his client is just a victim. Therefore, he is once again submitting a request for rehabilitation for Jamal.

"However, there has been no response yet, because there is a legal process that must be followed first. Maybe there will be another assessment or something," he added.

3. Development of AA's Case

Jamal Preman Pensiun was arrested by the Narcotics Detective Unit of Bandung Metropolitan Police in his boarding room on Arcamanik Street, Bandung, West Java on Thursday (27/8/2020) night. Jamal's arrest is a development following the police's apprehension of AA on the same day.

This is not the first time Jamal has been arrested. In July last year, he was also arrested in a similar case but his detention was suspended because he applied for rehabilitation. However, this time, the legal process against Jamal will continue, and if there is a request for suspension for rehabilitation, it will be handed over to the judge in court.
