Finally Able to Breathe Easy, Roy Kiyoshi Will Soon Be Released After 1 Month of Rehabilitation

Kapanlagi.com - Roy Kiyoshi's lawyer, Edi Suryono, finally feels a little relieved after hearing the favorable verdict from the panel of judges. Edi emphasized that the judge's decision is not to punish, but Roy Kiyoshi will continue serving the remaining sentence at the drug rehabilitation center, Cibubur Drug Dependence Hospital (RSKO) in East Jakarta.

"Luckily, the verdict is rehabilitation. We'll see in a week if the prosecutor will appeal or not," said Edi Suryono after the trial at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (12/8)

1. One-Month Inpatient Care

Regarding the five-month rehab sentence, Edi affirmed that Roy only needs to undergo inpatient rehabilitation for the next month. The legal counsel is confident that after being released, Roy Kiyoshi can live a normal life without the assistance of psychotropic drugs.

"If there's only one month left," said Edy.

"Yes, inpatient care. We requested outpatient rehab. But apparently, the judge had a different opinion. Well, it's okay, that's the judge's decision. Automatically, he will be healthy. His condition (Roy's) also seemed healthy," he concluded.

2. Roy Kiyoshi Arrested by Police for Drug Offenses

Previously reported, Roy Kiyoshi was arrested by the South Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit at his residence in the Cengkareng Indah area, West Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/5/2020) for alleged possession and misuse of psychotropic drugs.

During the arrest, the police seized evidence in the form of 21 pills of Diazepam and Dumolid, both psychotropic drugs, from Roy Kiyoshi.
