Jeff Smith Admits Using Marijuana Because of Sleep Difficulties

Kapanlagi.com - The police have once again arrested a public figure for drug abuse. This time it's Jeff Smith, a 23-year-old young actor who has to deal with the law.

Jeff Smith was arrested with his partner, identified as D, in the Jagakarsa area of Jakarta on Thursday morning (15/4/2021). After a urine test, Jeff Smith was proven to have consumed marijuana.

"The urine test result was positive for THC, which means marijuana, and we have also secured some evidence at the crime scene. The evidence is still being examined at the Indonesian National Police forensic laboratory," said AKBP Ronaldo Maradona, the Narcotics Unit Chief of West Jakarta Metro Police, on Friday (16/4/2021).

1. To Overcome Insomnia

Jeff Smith himself admitted to using narcotics belonging to category one to overcome his sleeping problems.

"(Using marijuana) One or two years ago. The reason is that I couldn't sleep," said Jeff Smith during a health test.

2. Conduct Further Investigation

Currently, the police are still conducting further investigation into Jeff Smith and his accomplice.

"They were arrested while gathering. We found several pieces of evidence inside JS's car," said Ronaldo.
