Jessica Iskandar & Vincent Verhaag Cancel Plans to Have Twins, Here's the Reason

Jessica Iskandar & Vincent Verhaag explain that the IVF program they underwent aimed to have twins and wanted to have children in the Year of the Dragon. Actually, it can be realized, but they chose to cancel it.

"Only one baby, because there are several factors that make it impossible to conceive twins," said Vincent Verhaag when met in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday (27/5/2024).

Jedar also explained that they consulted a doctor about their desire to have twins. After receiving an explanation, they finally gave up on the idea.

"The doctor also explained to us, like this, if we have twins now, the possibility would be a b c d and so on. As parents, we certainly want the best for our child, so we decided to give up on our desire to have twins," said Jedar.

Before finally joining the IVF program, Jedar and her husband tried to conceive naturally. However, because they did not get pregnant, they decided to try the IVF program.

"So after that, we tried naturally to have a baby without twins, we tried until the moment when the end of the pregnancy of the dragon child was almost over, so at that time we thought whether we should have an IVF child, we have tried (naturally) but it didn't work," Jedar said.

Jedar and her husband consulted with a doctor again to fulfill their hope of having a dragon year baby. Finally, their wish came true because now the 36-year-old woman is pregnant with twins.

"Finally we contacted our doctor again to consult about our dreams of having a child. We still want a dragon baby, but not twins. The doctor calculated and it turns out that the process will start in early 2024 until now. The process is going smoothly and I'm already pregnant," Jedar said.

Jedar's current pregnancy is already 10 weeks and she is in good health. Dr. Benediktus said that based on the ultrasound results, everything looks good.

"Jessica's pregnancy based on the ultrasound is 10 weeks and 6 days from the calculation of embryo implantation. The condition of the fetus is also good, the head, legs, and hands are starting to form and still within normal limits. The condition of the amniotic fluid is also good," Dr. Benediktus concluded.
