Jonathan Frizzy Released from Prison Today, Granted Parole

Happy news comes from actor Jonathan Frizzy Simanjuntak or commonly known as Ijonk. The man who is currently serving his sentence at the Tangerang Class 2A Youth Prison is confirmed to breathe free air today, Thursday (7/1/2026). Ijonk has received a Conditional Leave (CB) program from the Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjenpas).

Rika Aprianti, Head of the Subdirectorate of Cooperation at Ditjenpas, confirmed the news. She explained that Ijonk has met the administrative and substantive requirements to obtain this integration right before the end of his full sentence.

"Today, God willing, he will be released, released under the conditional leave program. Conditional leave or CB. If it’s absolute freedom, that will actually be on March 8," he said when met at his office in Central Jakarta, Wednesday (07/01/2026).

With this program, Ijonk's status has officially changed. Previously, he was classified as a prisoner, now he is a client of the Tangerang Correctional Center (Bapas). However, this freedom is not absolute and unconditional.

"So until March 8, Ijonk is required to follow guidance from the Tangerang Correctional Center. Just like other inmates participating in the integration program, during this period he must also follow guidance and must not commit any violations," Rika emphasized.

Ijonk was previously sentenced to 8 months in prison due to a case that ensnared him. According to regulations, a prisoner is entitled to apply for conditional leave after serving a minimum of 6 months of their sentence with good behavior.

Ijonk's freedom is certainly welcomed with joy by his family and fans. Nevertheless, Ijonk must remain vigilant and maintain his behavior during the guidance period so that his conditional leave rights are not revoked again.

Actor Jonathan Frizzy, also known as Ijonk, has been named a suspect in a case involving the illegal circulation of vape containing the hard drug Etomidate. This case was revealed based on developments from the arrest of a similar case in Malaysia, and the file has been declared complete for trial on May 5, 2025.

Jonathan Frizzy underwent a health examination and was declared to be in good health upon entering the Tangerang Youth Prison on July 15, 2025, despite having health complaints. He occupies a special cell for new detainees according to SOP. Now Ijonk is declared free from prison although with conditional freedom.
