Jonathan Frizzy's Vape Case Ends in Detention, Lawyer Says Ijonk's Health Is Not Yet Stable

Artist Jonathan Frizzy, or Ijonk, has officially been detained at the Class II A Youth Prison in Tangerang since Monday, July 14, 2025. This detention is a follow-up to the transfer of the vape case file containing hard drugs that ensnared him to the Tangerang District Attorney's Office.

This news has become a major focus, considering Ijonk's health condition, which is said to be unstable. Lamgok Heryanto Silalahi, Ijonk's lawyer, explained that his client has been detained since July 11.

The process began with the P21 phase two, followed by the submission of evidence and the suspect to the prosecutor's office, and then detention at the police station before finally being transferred to the Tangerang Youth Prison.

"Ijonk has been detained since July 11 at the time of the second P21 stage, the evidence and the suspect were sent to the prosecutor's office, then he was detained at the police station and is now transferred to the Tangerang Youth Prison," said Lamgok at the Tangerang Youth Prison, Monday (14/7/2025).

"What we need to convey, first, even at the time of the second P21 stage, his health condition was still unstable. Our client is making every effort to respect the legal process and he indeed wants this to be resolved quickly," said Lamgok.

Despite being unwell, Ijonk has shown a very cooperative attitude. He wants this legal process to be resolved soon. Currently, he is still undergoing health checks by the prison authorities.

"So even though he is unwell, he is cooperative, coming for the second stage. Until now, after registration, he is still undergoing health checks by the prison authorities, we also do not know the results, we pray for the best," said Lamgok.

The legal representatives cannot yet confirm whether Ijonk suffers from any other illnesses besides the known condition. They are waiting for the results of a comprehensive medical examination from the prison. "We don't know yet. So that's the procedure, I guess, if someone comes in, is sick, then they get checked," he explained.

"His condition, of course, since he has never been involved with the law, is likely to be a bit shaken and in shock. Moreover, his health condition has not yet recovered," Lamgok explained Ijonk's current condition.

Therefore, a thorough health examination, both physical and mental, is very important. "Of course, it needs to be addressed, which is why a check is currently being done both mentally and for his physical health regarding his illness," Lamgok stated.
