Kaka Slank's Moment Riding Around Malang City on a Vespa

Kaka Slank with a red Vespa and a denim jacket, together with Mods Mayday Malang, rode around the city as part of the tour for the 6th HS Slank Concert held at Rampal Field, Malang, on Sunday (19/4/2026).

Kaka, along with hundreds of riders, carried the concept of Sunmori Road to Hey Slank Malang starting from in front of the Malang city hall, continuing along Kayutangan Street, Bromo Street, Jaksa Agung Suprapto Street, and finishing at Rampal Field.

Starting from the Malang City Hall at around 09:00 WIB, Kaka Slank led the group riding Vespa, followed by riders trailing behind. The ride around Malang City lasted less than 1 hour.

The riders were seen bringing their own attributes, making the morning atmosphere even more festive, including the Slank flag. The riders were not only from the Vespa motorcycle community, but many also came from various other motorcycle communities that joined in.

"Exciting! Safe! The enthusiasm! If it’s the Vespa kids, it’s always like that; if there’s news just once, it’s definitely lively!" asserted the vocalist named Akhadi Wira Satriaji.

Kaka also revealed the uniqueness of Malang City, which has a special history regarding rock music.

"Back when we released our first album, a senior musician said, if you as a rock band want to dominate Indonesia, you have to perform in Malang. If you succeed in Malang, Insya Allah your career will be great. Malang is the standard for rock bands. That’s why we must visit Malang," Kaka stated at the press conference.

Similarly, Bimbim Slank expressed that he still remembers Pulosari Stadium as the place of his first concert in Malang.

"Back around the 1990s, the concert at Pulosari was the first concert in Malang. We stayed at Hotel Pelangi, is it still there now?" Bimbim asked while reminiscing.

Riding has become an iconic activity leading up to the concert. The spirit of riding is beneficial for everyone, especially young people, to participate in campaigns for good causes and to provide benefits.

The performance opened with Rastakrina, followed by Begundal Lowokwaru, which is a 'local hero' from Malang. Other performers included the music groups Rebellion Rose, Shaggydog, Begundal Lowokwaru, Superiots, Adella, and Rastakustik.
