The legal case involving actor Muhammad Ammar Akbar, better known as Ammar Zoni, has entered a new chapter. After being transferred to the Nusa Kambangan Correctional Institution (Lapas), Ammar officially restructured his legal team to face the upcoming legal process.

This drama of changing lawyers emerged after there was a discrepancy in statements between the old lawyer and the new team. Kamelia, as the girlfriend of the 32-year-old man, openly presented written evidence in the form of a power of attorney revocation letter signed directly by Ammar behind bars.

"I am the one who signed the power of attorney revocation statement. I am the one who signed below, name Muhammad Ammar Akbar alias Ammar Zoni, place and date of birth blah blah blah, occupation artist, address Lapas Narkotika Cipinang. With this, I declare one, revoking all powers I have given to Jon Mathias and friends," said Kamelia when met in the Kebon Jeruk area, West Jakarta, Monday (11/05/2026).

In the letter, Ammar also stated that Jon Mathias is no longer entitled to represent him in any legal matters, whether in court or out of court, effective from the date the letter was signed.

This major decision was made by Irish Bella's ex-husband to solidify his legal steps in filing for a Judicial Review (PK). Kamelia emphasized that Ammar is now giving full authority to Krisna Murti to lead his new legal team.

The background of this change is triggered by Ammar's desire to obtain stronger legal certainty. As is known, Ammar Zoni is currently serving a prison sentence due to a narcotics abuse case that has entangled him for the fourth time.

Regarding the claim from Jon Mathias's side, who feels he has not received the termination letter, Krisna Murti, as the legal representative, has provided a clear explanation. According to him, they have followed the official procedure for sending the letter in accordance with applicable regulations.

"It has been sent to his office address, whether he wants to accept it or not is up to him, the owner of the office. Because at the time we sent it there, it was received, it was received and there is also a receipt," explained Krisna Murti.

Krisna added that the letter of revocation of power has also been copied to the West Jakarta District Court. This is done to avoid dualism in leadership regarding the legal documents of Ammar Zoni in the future.

Kamelia revealed that she has also been in communication with the Cipinang prison regarding this change. All the latest legal documents belonging to the star of the soap opera 7 Manusia Harimau have been administratively transferred to the new legal team.
