Kartika Putri Firm in Wearing the Niqab, Habib Usman Says There Are Even More Temptations

Kapanlagi.com - Habib Usman bin Yahya, husband of artist Kartika Putri, expressed his gratitude for his wife's decision to wear the niqab or face veil.

According to Habib Usman, the guidance to wear the niqab is not an easy matter and requires a long process. He considers his wife's decision as a form of guidance from Allah that must be accompanied by sincerity in order to strengthen her faith.

"As a husband, I am very grateful to Allah SWT because Allah has given guidance to my wife and that guidance is very difficult," said Habib Usman when met in the Tendean area recently.

Habib Usman also explained that the greater the guidance received, the greater the temptations that will be faced. He even mentioned that the disturbances from 'the devil' become stronger, even comparing them to high-ranking devils.

1. Lifetime Choice

"Guidance is not easy; there are tests and trials. Guidance must come from the deepest heart to strengthen one's Islamic faith and piety," he said.

"Because the temptations will definitely be even greater, initially the devil might be a two-star general, but now the devil can be a seven-star general, an eight-star general. The meaning is that the more we do, the greater the tests we will face," he continued.

When asked how long Kartika would wear the niqab, Habib Usman stated that the niqab is a lifetime choice. According to him, a good woman is one who can cover herself perfectly and strives to keep her gaze away from men who are not mahram.

"It is for a lifetime. Wearing the niqab has no limits, until death separates us. Because the best woman is at home, and the best woman is not seen by any man, and the best woman can cover herself well and hopes that this world is temporary and the hereafter is eternal," he explained.

2. Long Process

This major decision was made by Kartika Putri after going through a long process of hijrah. Habib Usman admitted that the beginning of this hijrah journey was not easy, but when Kartika decided to wear the niqab, everything happened quickly.

"Wow, it’s very long, hijrah is not easy, but the process of her wearing the niqab, subhanallah, that was quick, but the process of hijrah is not easy, once again, the habib knows very well that Kartika's niqab process was quick and guidance came very fast," he said.

Habib Usman added that when Kartika expressed her desire to wear the niqab, he tried to postpone that decision. The habib suggested that the decision be delayed until the beginning of the following year, but Kartika still wanted to carry out her intention immediately.

3. Without Coercion

"I even delayed the time, let’s just do it in January, let’s do it in February, no, she (Kartika wants) now," he said.

Furthermore, Habib Usman emphasized that this decision purely came from Kartika herself without coercion from anyone, including himself. He felt that this decision was qadarullah and became part of the destiny that has been determined for his wife.
