Kia AFI on 'Pride Parade': LGBTQIA Doesn't Have to Participate

Kapanlagi.com - Kia AFI has just participated in a pride parade in the United States to celebrate pride month. Kia directly published her involvement on her Instagram account. In the photo she uploaded, she wore colorful clothes with Indonesian characteristics.

In an interview with Kapanlagi.com, Kia talked about her participation in this parade. When asked how she could join the parade, she mentioned a community of Indonesians there.

"You don't have to be LGBTQIA to join the parade. As for registering for the parade, the LGBTQIA Community, Satu Pelangi, knows more about it. Because I joined the parade with them," said Kia.

Furthermore, Kia mentioned that she was not alone in participating in this parade. The parade is indeed open to the public, but communities still have to go through a selection process.

"So, in the parade, it's not individual participation. You have to join a group. According to the information I received, it is open to the public, but registered communities, institutions, and organizations have to go through a selection process. So not all communities can have this opportunity. And don't be mistaken, the parade organizers always invite Satu Pelangi to participate in their parade every year because they are amazed by the diversity of Indonesia," explained Kia.
